About Me
who am i
Hi I'm Shamayel Chowdhury a student at the Dalhousie University, majoring in Computer Science (and a minor in Economics). I am an individual who is enthusiastic about learning and help develop and implement unique solutions with a My journey in computer science started in my teenage years, tinkering with game mods and learning programming basics. Over the years, I've honed my skills in various aspects of coding, design, as well as communication skills.
As someone aspiring to become a software intern, I am deeply interested in traditional software development roles where I can immerse myself in the world of coding and technology. My goal is to be part of a team that challenges me to develop robust and efficient software solutions, contributing to both the technical and user-experience aspects of development.

Fit with NewsApi from newsdata.io, this app allows users to add profiles of politicians and rate them accordingly. This app stands to provide a platform to express autonomous opinions of users and to spark insightful political conversations. More Features are planned such as an integrated chatbot, review list, etc.
Quick Cash!
An android app, focussing on people creating and finding local jobs near their area while having the ability to rate, search for jobs on a Map, as well as visualization of income stats for workers. Utilizing Firebase database system, Google Maps API and PayPal Sandbox (API).

Helped implement additional functionalities to the website of the Berth Operating Company- Fazlisons Ltd, under the supervision of Ultimate IT Solutions Company. Used HTML, JS, and Bootstrap to help implement services and client pages. The revamped website led to a significant improvement in user engagement, which led to a 40% increase in traffic and a 55% increase in online presence.
